Mixed media painting using acrylic, watercolour & pastel (530mm x 370mm).
A wonderfully exposed beach and dune area where the rivers Taw & Torridge meet in North Devon. Usually quiet and not too crowded. It’s also a nature reserve and training area for the Royal Marines. It is slowly being eroded by the elements along with its ship wrecks. Please see my The Sea Mack at Crow Point pen and ink drawing. The picture on the left is the home of it’s new owner a perfect setting I think.
Pastel drawing of a hot and hazy summers day. Saunton Beach is a wonderfully long stretch a sand on the North Devon Coast, England. Used by surfers, kite surfers, although the carpark is perhaps going to be upping it’s prices.
Spring at Manning’s Pit nr Pilton, North Devon (720mm x 560mm). Now in a private collection.
Watercolour (40mm x 400mm). Picture of a field at Heddon’s Mouth, Exmoor.
Another mixed media of Saunton Beach in North Devon (820mm x 430mm). With distant storm clouds over Bideford Bar and Westward Ho.
Pilton Church February 2014. My local church just behind where I live and twice a week we hear the bells. Not a religious person but I love walking around the old graveyard here. I am still trying to find a printer/scanner big enough to manage this picture. My intention is to make a run of limited additions.
