I don’t usually paint or draw portraits of pets, let alone do commission work, but here is one of a friend’s Staffordshire Terrier in memorial. This has been completed using Pen and Ink, pencil and Uni-ball Pens. Below is an acrylic of another friend’s Jack Russell painted some years ago.
These are a few of the paintings I’ve completed this year! I would like to say thank you to all the encouragement I’ve received and those that have purchase a little bit of me! I will return to the easel in 2021 with a vengeance and hopefully with new found enthusiasm after an odd 2020! Oh and yes I now realise there are two of the same pictures in this collage, my wife’s so smart! Al

Sandy Lane Poppies 1220 x 610mm acrylic on panel. A painting of the dusty lane that leads to the Burrows Carpark in Braunton just behind Saunton Beach. I was quite taken by the poppies in the hedge and the stark neon whiteness of the sandy road.
An acrylic sketch on gesso panel 400 x 300mm of a warm Autumn evening on the River Taw in North Devon. After an enjoyable cycle around the area I spotted a kingfisher off the slipway on Barnstaple Quay. On returning home I came across this view! The original image is more subtle in colour and tone. This is probably my last image of 2019! Al
